The main thing you can do it keep your property clean. Don't litter on someone elses property and if you see litter, pick it up and throw it away.
Who do I call if there is sofas, beds, etc. in my trash?

All garbage must be in cans. Each home is allowed to set out four 32-gallon cans. BFI will only pick up 3 large items. If there are more in a stack, they don't take any of it. So what you might have to do is set out 3 one week, then the rest out the next week.

This is the Code Violation Number for Knoxville. If there is garbage that BFI won't pick up, give them a call.
What do I do about a dumpster with graffiti on it?
Call the number on the dumpster and ask them to replace the dumpster. They will do this free of charge. If the spray paint is removed right away, people will stop "tagging" the dumpsters.
