ABOUT FORT SANDERS Fort Sanders is located in Knoxville, Tennessee. Mostly populated by college students and faculty, this community has a diverse background of residents. To the East is Downtown Knoxville and World's Fair Park, home of the World's Fair in 1982. To the South is the University fof Tennessee, home of the Volunteers. To the North is Interstate 40 while to the West is Alcoa Highway.
